The club also conducts its own monthly open competitions (ANSA and FCA), 365-day board fish and boat competition and throughout the fishing year organises social club outings to various “special spots”. South Sydney Amateur Fishing Association is a friendly and family oriented club and holds family social functions as well as fishing events.
South Sydney AFA is unique in that it is one of the only amateur fishing clubs in the south eastern suburbs with its own club house, boat storage, fish cleaning and weigh-in facilities.
The club holds a formal meeting night the first Wednesday of every month at the clubhouse at approximately 8 pm, where guest speakers, films, fishing reports and information sessions are provided for all members, guests and visitors.
Visitors are very welcome to attend the club on any Wednesday night for a social get together, and membership is open to all interested in the sport of amateur fishing.
