Gone Fishing Day Update for Sat 10th Dec

With GFD being held tomorrow it looks like the swell and wind are right up, so the fishing side of things will be cut right back.  The GFD BBQ is on and the Club kicks off about 1pm for snacks with food served around 2.30pm. Don't worry, the BBQ won't shut down till dark, so it will be a steady stream of food to keep us all busy. With regard to the fishing, PLEASE ENSURE you fish the protected Bays and Estuaries like Botany Bay, Port Hacking and Sydney Harbour in areas away from the swell. The ocean rocks are being pounded by a large swell and offshore boating looks very ordinary so give these a miss.  We are happy to give away the prizes on the day, and we can be creative in how we present these if we don't get many fish come in.  Our advice is have a fish somewhere safe like the Piers in Sydney Harbour or away from the swell in the Georges River or Port Hacking and get down to the Club for a catch-up and a feed.
